March 31, 2010 TIE Today, Inc. and Allied Technology Group, Inc. (ATG) have entered a Mentor Protégé arrangement under the auspices of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)

ATG, Mentor, has supported DHS and its predecessor agencies for more than sixteen years. They have long-term support experience with multiple DHS components including the US Coast Guard, the Transportation Security Administration, and Customs and Border Protection. They have previously, successfully mentored small businesses, including some who were enrolled in the Small Business Administration 8(a) program. ATG will leverage their long-term DHS experience to help TIE, their small business protégé, win competitive DHS competitions.

December 17, 2009 TIE Today, Inc. was selected to provide another year of Training System Support for a wide array of training-related activities for the Naval Education Training Command (NETC)

As a subcontractor to Allied Technology Group, Inc. (ATG), TIE will perform program management, engineering, logistics and training services to include:
Front-End Analysis
Face-to-Face Instruction
Web-Based Training Products
Design Plans and Installation for electronic classrooms

December 11, 2009 – TIE Today, Inc. was successfully assessed and approved by the National Quality Assurance (NQA), U.S.A. against provisions of ISO 9001:2008

NQA is an accredited organization under the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board. This certification attests to TIE’s commitment to maintain a current and effective Quality Management System for both employees and customers.

October 16, 2009 – The American Council on Education (ACE) has reviewed TIE’s redesign of DEOMI’s Equal Opportunity Advisors Program (EOAP) new training program

The blended solution consisted of 16 online courses (Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL)), three blocks of in-residence small group facilitated training, and concluded with core performance and practical skills training where students applied what they learned in ADL and small group.  ACE has awarded the following college credits: 

In the lower-division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in communications, 3 in race and ethnic relations, and 3 in organizational behavior. In the upper-division baccalaureate category, 3 semester hours in human resource management; 2 in field experience (practicum); 1 in management; 1 in instructional methods; and 1 in conflict resolution. All students who complete the training program will receive a total of 17 semester hours.

This is verification that our training design is educationally sound and the ADL portion meets the same rigorous standards and criteria as in-residence training. The product of accreditation is a public statement of DEOMI's continuing capacity to provide effective programs and services based on agreed-upon requirements and standards.

October 4, 2009 – TIE Today, Inc. sponsored Operations Associate, Marie Nelson (wearing the pink wig), in the Brevard County Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk

Ms. Nelson was there to support family member, Toni Keen, who has been battling breast cancer since October of 2007. Their team, Toni's Tigers, had a great time and raised $1,560.00 for breast cancer research.

September 1, 2009 – TIE receives a two-year follow-on contract at Patrick AFB

TIE to provide Revision and Maintenance and hosting for DEOMI’s new Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Equal Opportunity Program. TIE will also facilitate eventual migration of these courses to Joint Knowledge Online (JKO).

August 2009 – TIE is pleased to announce that it is part of the Loch Harbor Group, Inc. winning team for the Department of Homeland Security’s PACTS contract, Functional Category 1 – Program Management

The contract is available for use by all offices of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In support of the Executive Order 13360, PACTS is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside.

The Program Management Category includes advisory and assistance services on administrative management issues, such as financial planning and budgeting, equity and asset management, records management, office planning, strategic and organizational planning, site selection, and business process improvement. Services under this Functional Category may also include but are not limited to that of general management consultants that provide a full range of administrative, human resource, marketing, physical distribution and logistics, or other management consulting services.

June 30, 2009 – TIE completes delivery of custom solution for the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI)

The TIE team recently completed delivery of full-service analysis, design, development, and project management needed to create a custom solution for classroom, web, and blended training program for the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI). DEOMI is DoD’s Center of Excellence for world class equity education, training and research. They train Equal Opportunity Advisor’s in all services to advise their organization’s leadership on issues related to equal opportunity climate and effectiveness. The blended solution consisted of 16 online courses (Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL)), three blocks of in-residence small group facilitated training, and concluded with core performance and practical skills training where students applied what they learned in ADL and small group. The ADL courses were SCORM conformant and Section 508 compliant.

May-June 2009 – TIE assists Atlantis Systems America Inc. (ASA) to conclude course development with their Canadian Forces Training System (CFTS) contract

Assisting ASA with Quality Assurance for their Bell 412 CF Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) and Computer Based Training (CBT) courseware, TIE contributes graphic and interactive animation development to aide ASA in completion of their contract with the Canadian Forces Training System (CFTS) for the Department of National Defense (DND) Canada.

January 19, 2009 – PS Construction selects TIE Today to design and install Video Teleconferencing systems for the Center for Service Support (CSS)

These high end VTCs will be installed at Fitzgerald Hall in Newport RI  and will showcase Tandberg VTC equipment,  Crestron Control Systems, and SmartBoard Technology.

January 9, 2009 – TIE receives official Certification for its Quality Management System

TIE's ISO 9001/2000 Quality Management System (QMS) governs TIE's Quality Assurance Program with processes and procedures to meet our client's requirements. TIE follows established processes and procedures to ensure that successes achieved can be repeated.

May 29, 2008 – TIE wins as Prime on Seaport-e Contract

TIE Today was announced as a 2008 Awardee for the SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) acquisition program. The Navy Virtual SYSCOM (VS) Commanders (NAVSUP, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, and NAVFAC) have designated SeaPort-e as the vehicle of choice for Engineering, Financial, and Program Management contractor support services. SeaPort-e is to satisfy the mission and requirements of the U.S. Navy Surface and Undersea Warfare Centers.

The SeaPort-e vehicle is comprised of seven regional zones in which task orders are competed based upon the principal place of performance. TIE is qualified to provide services in six of the regional zones across the United States. This SeaPort Multiple Award Contract (MAC) is designed to include all aspects of Engineering, Technical, & Programmatic Support Services (SeaPort-e MAC) as required by the Virtual Systems Command, its related Program Executive Offices (PEOs) and field affiliates. As a SeaPort-e contract holder,TIE is eligible to provide a variety of services within 22 functional areas that include:

  • Software engineering, development, programming, and network support – Development or selection of hardware and computer software for training facilities, including planning, designing, coding, testing, integrating, supporting, and delivering software and network systems.
  • Training support – Instructional design and organization development activities targeting knowledge, skills, and attitudes to support warfighting capabilities.
  • Modeling, simulation, stimulation, and analysis support – Creation of physical or mathematical representations of systems using models and emulators, including simulators to generate data for the purposes of decision-making.
  • Information systems development, information assurance, and information technology support – Provide information system training and documentation, and modify, implement, and maintain web based information systems and links.

SeaPort-e uses streamlined acquisition procedures with a web-based e-procurement portal and SeaPort-e website. The government estimates that $5 billion of services will be procured each year via orders issued under the SeaPort-e Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts.

(NSS), a reseller of Simigon products. This partnership signifies the start for TIE to integrate Simigon’s SIMbox simulation platform as part of their training solutions. SIMbox technology is leveraged for a multitude of domains ranging from training and simulation and air combat debriefing to homeland security and entertainment.

Through the SimiGon Partnership Program (SPP), the Company provides a proven product ready for customization and end-user installation, significantly reducing development time and costs for their partners. SimiGon aims to standardize the entire Modeling, Simulation, and Training industry with the Company's advanced concepts and technologies.

April 2008 - TIE Today selected to develop the Equal Opportunity Advisor Program (EOAP)

Blended Training Solution for the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) located at Patrick AFB, FL. This core EOAP Course provides DoD service members in command or leadership positions with equal opportunity and human relations' awareness training. TIE Today will analyze, design, and develop an effective instructional system. Undertakings include full-service design, development, and project management needed to create custom solutions for classroom, web, and blended training programs. TIE will use DEOMI’s  "Front-End Analysis" documents to design and develop curricula to include traditional training as well as computer-based training systems/curricula. This contract aligns with TIE’s strategic vision to establish client-working relationship’s in Florida. TIE looks forward to assist DEOMI meet their mission needs.

December 2007 - TIE Today to provide program management, engineering, administration and logistic support services for Allied Technology Group

TIE Today has been selected by Allied Technology Group to help implement the Training Systems Solution at Newport RI for Naval Services Training Command (NSTC), IL.  This will require survey and installation of  Training Devices at Newport RI for the Officers Candidate School. TIE will manage the schedule, analysis, design, development, and installation of the Training Devices.

December 2007  - TIE Today Wins Seaport Training System Support Contract (TSS)  as the principle subcontractor to Allied Technology Group (ATG)

This five-year contract is to support the Indian Head Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, (IHD/NSWC) located in Maryland. Tasks include conduct of site surveys and installation; engineering services, training; courseware support; logistics; and program management support for training systems for the Navy and other Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. Training systems include operator and maintenance training devices; electronic classrooms; networks and operational equipment used in a training role; and courseware including interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) for the Department of Defense (DoD). These training elements provide the structure for a coherent program for the successful introduction and follow-on support to training systems. This win signifies the TIE and ATG commitment to work together as trusted “partners” in current and future endeavors.

November 2007 - TIE Today selected by Allied Technology Group (ATG) to design and install a Navy Training Network at NAS Jacksonville

The Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit (CNATTU) requires installation of a network cable plant (159 network drops) to support Smart Electronic Classrooms (ECs). The network is to support 10 ECs and the instructor’s training domain. This urgent need demands installation completion within two weeks of final design approval to support immediate training usage.
